Aloha! Happy hump day. Did you notice I changed my social media names and stuff? It’s because I’m getting certified as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. This blog will just not do for that. So in a few weeks, the Wholesome Weekend Roundup will be getting a new home. This blog will only be updated once a week (on Wednesdays) so that I can check in with you and let you know how school is going. And life. And stuff. And mostly I’ll just share what I ate.
So first, a life update. I was going through some medical stuff the past few weeks. I don’t care to go into detail. But all is back to normal now. I was even able to get in a really good workout yesterday. I started my new job teaching. I’m actually super happy to be back in the classroom. Working for United was fun, and I definitely miss the flight benefits. But for now, the classroom is where I belong.
I’ve been studying all my NTP materials in my free time. I even have a study buddy.
Except he just sleeps most of the day and isn’t very motivating. I kind of have to depend on myself for motivation to get my work done. I’m actually ahead of where I’m supposed to be, which is true Stephanie fashion anyway.
Okay, now onto stuff I ate.
Breakfast was a chocolate avocado smoothie.
It was rainy and cold out but that didn’t stop me. Though I think it might be time to switch to more warming breakfasts. The calendar still says ‘summer’ but the weather outside says ‘autumn’. It’s been a rainy, cold week in Boise.
Lunch was salad with bacon and a hard boiled egg.
I used up all the Primal Kitchen ranch dressing so now I’m going to experiment with making my own.
I snacked on some 4505 chicharrones and guacamole.
Dinner was leftover short ribs and more salad.
I bought a block of raw goats milk cheddar to try. It’s delicious. I’m kind of bummed I enjoyed it because it’s twice the price of raw cows milk cheddar. Short ribs are also delicious by the way. And Health Ade kombucha continues to be on sale at The Boise Co-Op. Patrick keeps bringing me bottles. I’ll be sad when it goes back to regular price. It’s the best commercial brand of kombucha in my opinion. Are you a kombucha fan? Which one is your favorite?
